CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

Newman-Crows Landing Unified School District(NCLUSD) has a long-standing commitment to educating the whole child. Our curriculum is designed to help students develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, ethically, aesthetically, and socially. We encourage students to become active, engaged learners and responsible citizens.

Standards & Curriculum

Students receive instruction in reading-language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, visual and performing arts, and physical education. The District has adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in mathematics and English Language Arts.

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn. The standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young people need for success in college and careers. With American students fully prepared for the future, our communities will be best positioned to compete successfully in the global economy.
